This is an Authentic Native American Hand coiled and Hand painted Hopi “Bowl” pottery! It is approximately 3 1/2” tall and about 5 3/8” wide. It has a nice stone polished finish! The detail on the painting is very nice! The coloring on this piece is very nice. It has orange fire clouds from the outdoor firing. Hopi pottery is distinguished by its warm yellow – orange slip and polychrome designs. Traditional outdoor firing, as well as the iron content of the clay, produces variations in the yellowish surface color. It is signed on the bottom by the artist,“Nellie Nampeyo”. This piece does have a burn mark on one side. You can see this in the photo.
