Migration Pattern by Miriam Nampeyo
This spectacular grade example of Hopi pottery was produced by Miriam Nampeyo. It is decorated with the fine-line Migration pattern that has become one of the traditional designs utilized by the family of potters who descended from the original Nampeyo This pottery was hand-coiled, rock-polished, yucca brush-painted from natural earth pigments, and fired in sheep dung. This beautiful pottery stands a little over 5 “ inches high by 4.5” Wide.
